WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE CITY UNIVERSITY?
Velatropa Eco Village is an interdisciplinary center Environmental Education was developed independently from the winter of 2007 on the campus of University City, on the basis of the abandoned project in Hall 5 of the UBA and surrounding forests.
In November 2009 we received an unexpected visit from a bulldozer Dycassa brand, same company contracted by the Government of the BAC for the works that we move breaking the coastal area, in flora and fauna across the swamp that surrounds us . From the western edge of the property, the bulldozer began moving into the area where they settle gardens, adobe buildings and fruit trees, results of our research and production permaculture. This video shows the daily activities of the project and shows the visit of the bulldozer and the Argentina Federal Police officers who accompanied her.

During the congressional debates of the Republic in June 2007 for approval of the Central Government budget, it is discovered that the NDP National Development Plan, Article 38 seeks to include as an obligation of public universities cover a percentage of "Pension Liabilities," which is entirely obligation of the national government, leading to the university community (students, faculty and staff) to mobilize and demand that neoliberal policies and privatization of the government of Alvaro Uribe, to respect university autonomy, stop the stigmatization of protests , social and above all the resources necessary for the proper functioning of the Colombian educational system.

Among them are firms managed by their workers and other cooperatives to support the struggles of recovery of new jobs, as they do today with INDUGRAF, cooperative graphics Lori, who is a year of resistance. The partners bring us closer to this reality.

It is our aim, through various tools, characterize, report and combat these repressive policies, highlighting its essential character and inherent to the capitalist system.
