WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE CITY UNIVERSITY?
Velatropa Eco Village is an interdisciplinary center Environmental Education was developed independently from the winter of 2007 on the campus of University City, on the basis of the abandoned project in Hall 5 of the UBA and surrounding forests.
In November 2009 we received an unexpected visit from a bulldozer Dycassa brand, same company contracted by the Government of the BAC for the works that we move breaking the coastal area, in flora and fauna across the swamp that surrounds us . From the western edge of the property, the bulldozer began moving into the area where they settle gardens, adobe buildings and fruit trees, results of our research and production permaculture. This video shows the daily activities of the project and shows the visit of the bulldozer and the Argentina Federal Police officers who accompanied her.

Hello everybody, we are writing this time because soon (5 and 6 December) we will be making a new FLIA. For nearly four years FLIA worked tirelessly, organizing and self-managed horizontally, organizing events organizers increasingly multidisciplinary, encompassing not only the publishing of books, magazines or fanzines for broadcast and distribution, but also acted in several musical groups, theater performers, there were dozens of talks, spent hundreds of projections.
With an average of two hundred stands for FLIA, with days of twelve hours or more in almost all events, and a group almost always reduced activxs organizadorxs not paid for their work, it always did with love and passion to create an alternative to the current market and looking for a new way of approaching things we like and want to do, being nosotrxs actors and makers of our projects, without seeking to decide for otrxs nosotrxs what we do, or how.
For that we get together now once a week in assemblies on Tuesday after 20 hours in the FLA, which is in Brazil 1551 (constitution), where we discuss what horizontally want to do for the completion of each event.
But I really feel we need a little more active participation of people nuevxs enrich the collective. Elgunx Perhaps those who are reading this participated with a stand, or acting, or giving a talk, or just had a great time going to the FLIAs, We ask that if you can make time to come to the talks, or helping and working in the organization, or the day of the event, they do, we would be helping between everybody, and in cuantxs more we are, more self-managed and horizontal would FLIA

This is emergency FLIA dedicated to the desperate, the crazy, the perennial losers, those who sold all and I hope they have no rest to try again, the usual misfits, suicide, whose wings melted about to reach the sun, who again changed the kingdom by snake oil again, beyond the victory and loss, gain or loss. In June 2008, from these very pages Besòs Bank Forum ("Privatizing the public. The pool of Sant Adria de Besos converted into a disco" post of June 23, 2008) we reported what we thought it was an action against the public interest and without regard to urban management by municipal government of Sant Adria de Besos. We refer to the change "temporary" that, taking the "declaration of drought", made the municipal government (PSC / IC-EUiA) of public facilities in the Park of Sant Adrià del Litoral (bar, restaurant, internal green spaces and swimming pools) transforming into a disco night, subletting through company that managed, Facilities Management and Maintenance Sports Gimesport SA, a second company, in turn, returned to sublet each of the bars to different companies.
This change of use at some facilities built at the time by the Metropolitan Area of \u200b\u200bBarcelona, \u200b\u200bin the Parque del Litoral, and pool area, bar, restaurant, gardens and lake, unfortunately led to the destruction of an essential part of the park.
In the Coastal Park Guide published by the Mancomunitat of Municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of \u200b\u200bBarcelona is still describing this public space as follows:
"Its prime location next to the sea makes the park an original and attractive space. The park and beach are separated by a seafront promenade in the final section expands as a plaza and gazebo. Inside the park you can find a pool of fun shapes with a total area of \u200b\u200b1000m2 water. In addition, two roads built with railway sleepers and crossing the complex structure in several areas.
